"Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Our Founding Fathers feared the concentration of power in a central government we have allowed. They were right. Socialists always make false promises of utopia to gain power. The National Socialist aka Nazi's and the World wide Socialists aka Communists use the same propaganda of "free" wonderful healthcare, safe gun free society, etc. Once they have the power, the promises are NEVER delivered. Liberals lie and water is wet is descriptive. If we fail to follow the Constitution and decentralize power back to the states and individuals, we will reinstitute slavery. This time it will not be based on skin color, but government cronyism. The political cronies collecting taxpayer money and special privileges support establishment types from R and D's. The big business country club R's are now attacking the Tea Party. The Tea Party is the common ground between middle class Republicans and working class Democrats. We need term limits to defang the ruling elites. We need to limit the federal government to national defense and enumerated powers. Any "Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Education, etc." need to be handled at the state level. If MA wants to once again try the failed socialism route, let them. The people who want to work and be free to enjoy the fruits of their labor can move to a state that is not hostile to freedom. The principle of susidiarity works.
